Sara Tomlinson, PT, DPT, SCS, CSCS

Sara comes to the Atlas team from Oregon, receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Pacific University in Hillsboro. Sara completed a sports residency at Samaritan Athletic Medicine/ Oregon State University, where she worked extensively with Division 1 athletes across multiple sports including football, softball, baseball, volleyball, wrestling and rowing. Prior to moving to Florida, Sara served as a physical therapist for the Chicago Sky WNBA team during their 2024 season. Sara is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist and enjoys incorporating performance training into rehab to allow athletes to return to play at their highest level of performance.
Sara’s athletic background includes many years of soccer as well as collegiate rowing at Colorado State University. Having had personal experience rehabbing a number of her own sports-related injuries, Sara understands the importance of feeling empowered during the rehab process. Sara’s treatment philosophy centers around a strong educational foundation so every athlete has clear answers as to what their rehab will look like and what it will take to get them back onto the field again.
Outside of work, you can find sara reading, cooking, running, lifting, or exploring the outdoors.
Brody Burkart, PT, DPT, SCS, LAT, ATC

Certified Athletic Trainer
Brody comes to the Atlas team from the northwest suburbs of Chicago and currently serves as one of the minor league physical therapists with the Miami Marlins. Prior to moving to Florida, he was the head physical therapist for the Chicago Wolves during the 2023-2024 season. He completed a sports residency at Samaritan Athletic Medicine/Oregon State University in 2023, where he was directly involved in the rehabilitation of multiple Division 1 collegiate athletes across multiple sports, including football, baseball, softball, wrestling, volleyball, gymnastics, and men’s and women’s rowing. Brody is also a credentialed Licensed Athletic Trainer and received his degree from North Park University (Chicago, IL) in 2016. He currently serves on the Chicago Marathon Committee in their research, education, and recruitment division. On race day, he functions as the Sweep Team Medical Coordinator 10 yards beyond the finish line, so wave hello as you finish your next race!
In addition to adequate strength and conditioning, Brody understands that sound biomechanics and movement patterns are necessary to reduce pain and injury risk and enhance performance regardless of sport or age. He enjoys working closely with patients and other fitness and health professionals to ensure the best possible outcome and a safe return to sport/performance following injury.
Brody is a former NCAA collegiate baseball athlete and has a special interest in treating overhead throwing and rotational athletes. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys running, golfing, weight training, traveling, spending time with his family and friends, and cheering on his favorite sports teams: the Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Bears, Wolves, and OSU Beavers!
